Jon's Bondage Blog

JonWoods by JonWoods @
June 1st marks a quarter of a century that I've been in this business. I feel like I already did the big retrospective of my career five years ago in this blog when I hit the 20 year milestone, and I don't know what else I could add to that. So I'll share a few random thoughts.

This industry, like many others I suppose, has no shortage of people with large egos. I try hard not to be one of them. Although I'd like to believe my longevity has been solely because of talent, I realize that I've been remarkably lucky. There aren't too many of us who have survived for 20 years or more, and that includes some talented producers who deserved a much longer run. So how did I get this far?

I would credit a strong work ethic, a single-minded dedication to our fetish, and a stubborn nature as being crucial to reaching this anniversary. But more than that I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by supportive people who helped me get started all those years ago, and who've helped me through the difficult times during this long journey. Lorelei is the main person, of course, but I'd also like to thank my business partners at FM Concepts, Chase Brocco, Ikaras Jones, Nimzo, and all you paying customers. I would be remiss if I didn't also include Mr. Robert Harmon, who allowed me the creative freedom to find my voice in those early years.

The internet has been revolutionary for producers and customers alike. The information age has created a platform unparalleled in its egalitarianism. But that's not always a positive thing. These days anyone can, for example, publish a book, no matter how poorly written. Yes, they can bypass the publishing companies, but they also miss out on the benefits of editing, proofreading, and having an objective party question the merits of publishing the book at all. Any motivated person can host a podcast, unlike terrestrial radio, which has some minimal standards as well as sponsors to answer to. Often, ability has nothing to do with it. And now, for better or worse, anyone can go broke trying to produce their own fetish content. Back in the days of magazines and VHS tapes when I started my career, there were very few companies producing bondage entertainment. To a degree we (that is, all of the active Harmony Concepts alumni) were all finding our way, but we always strove to maintain a certain level of professionalism. With the advent of digital photography, easier access to videography and a new outlet for selling content, there was an explosion of new and often unique voices in our genre. While it was a wonderful time for people with specialized interests to express themselves, it's not too surprising they couldn't remain viable in a glutted market. I hope our commitment to upholding an acceptable standard has contributed to our long tenure in the industry.

I feel lucky that my own tastes are mainstream enough that I can try to create bondage videos that I like that will also appeal to the folks who experienced the same psychological imprinting from popular entertainment that I had. For a long time now I've felt that the people who create something, artists, writers, musicians and auteurs, are innately brave. They fearlessly reveal something about themselves when they produce their art, and open themselves to criticism as well as praise. I don't know if I'm brave (because I don't feel especially brave), and more often I feel like I'm just sharing a beloved thing with friends and like-minded people.

At the risk of wandering into negative territory, at times I find it amazing that any bondage producers — or producers of adult content in general — can manage to stay in business these days. We're plagued by credit card companies and banks that are openly hostile to us. Frequently we're subjected to ineptitude by payment processors and web hosts, and dishonest webmasters. A majority of our customer base feels entitled to get everything we produce for free, and there are wealthy, thieving tube sites that happily accommodate them. This is made worse as we get no meaningful copyright protection for our work. And yet despite these obstacles, we're all trying to continue. It's not because we have some delusion there will be a big payoff at the end, or that this situation might even get better. We do it because we must, because it's our passion. If you share this passion, all we're asking is that you help us keep on doing it.

I have this rule that when a song gets stuck in my head, if I can find it, then it goes into my music library. Normally that's not a problem, but often these ear-worms are themes from classic TV shows and jingles from old commercials. Thanks to youtube I can usually even find those rarities too. I guess we've become spoiled when it comes to access to the popular culture from our past, and I'm disappointed if I can't get these old themes. There's one old Chex cereal commercial in particular that's been eluding me for years now.

As an aside, if the amazon music download store had them available, I would certainly buy these oddball bits of audio memorabilia from them. I should also note that I usually play my music library on "shuffle" and (as Lorelei will attest) it frequently makes for some interesting listening.

Currently, it seems most television shows have abandoned doing opening theme songs. That's understandable to a degree. After years and years of that formula, I'm sure some producers feel they're cliché and we've moved beyond that. Instead they sell those valuable seconds for ads and simply run the credits over the first minutes of the show. However considering the rising cost of TV production, it seems having one reusable minute for the episode would be rather attractive to the producers.

Beyond that, I believe it does make a series or product more memorable. If you go to youtube and enter the title of a TV show into the search, you'll invariably be offered the show's opening theme as one of the defaults (if they have one). Using the example of those terrible Hannah-Barbera cartoons many of us watched when we were growing up, we fondly recall the theme songs but the actual content of the shows left no impression whatsoever.

As for products, it's a testament to the skills of the jingle-writers how often their work has outlived the products they were created to promote, or at least the advertising campaigns they were commissioned for. I think it's analogous to all those cheesy paperback books and detective magazines of days gone by that had memorable cover artwork and photos, but for the most part their content (the stories, the characters and the situations) are all supremely forgettable. You can find the covers from them reproduced on hundreds of sites, but is there anyplace you can find the writing or even a few quotes from their texts? I don't think so.

Next, I'll be saving up my pennies to commission my own theme song for American Damsels.

Whenever possible these days, we're producing custom videos and stills. We always strive to make the buyer feel like they're getting their money's worth, and get the video (or stills) back to them as quickly as we can. Usually that's not a problem, although if it's more than one model the scheduling becomes exponentially more challenging. One prime example of that was a four-model custom still shoot I did for https://skyryder23.deviantart.com/ in January. It took a lot of effort to coordinate the availability of our all-star cast, but what fantastic results! Of course, since his story stars Amber Michaels https://twitter.com/ambermichaelsxx Ashley Lane https://twitter.com/AshleyLaneXXX Blair Williams https://twitter.com/blairsbananas and Alexis Taylor https://twitter.com/oddlydisturbing how could we possibly go wrong?

When Eric W. ordered his second custom from me (his first was another secretary in bondage-themed tale, "Office-Bound Ladies" from last year), he was kind enough to leave the casting for his story up to me. I chose two exceptional performers. I got Lola Pearl https://twitter.com/lolapearlshow  to play the sexy office manager, and Christiana Cinn https://twitter.com/ChristianaCinn https://onlyfans.com/christianacinn to be the sexy secretary. Once again, it took a little doing to get our busy stars' schedules to coincide, but it was definitely worth the effort.

Both of these ladies hit it out of the park. Lola is a rising star on the fetish scene, and she's righteously earned her status. She has the most amazing energy and enthusiasm, and I knew I could count on her to bring her character to life. But she blew me away with a stunning mix of humor and sexiness that is rarely seen. Lola has also started producing https://www.clips4sale.com/studio/125089/lola-pearl-show and I think she's got all the right stuff to be a tremendous success.

I'd only worked with Christiana once before, and I only had time to get one set with her. But I was impressed with her enthusiasm for bondage, as well her flawless movie star looks. It's no wonder she's a favorite in the mainstream adult world. But beyond that, Ms. Cinn gave one of the best damsel performances I've seen in a long time. Both of our stars seemed to have this innate understanding of the genre. They intuitively knew all the right things to say, and they had perfect vocalizations. The script also called for some playful bondage snuggling and kissing, which is not an element I'm usually putting in my "damsel in distress" themed videos. But this sort of thing is second nature to our gorgeous stars, and they displayed real chemistry for those two segments.

And I'd also like to give a shout-out to Ikaras Jones https://twitter.com/ikarasjones who stepped in to play a part in the story, help with the videography and everything else. We just don't see enough of him these days.

Lorelei https://twitter.com/BedroomBondage and I split a shoot with the luscious Skylar Snow https://twitter.com/SkylarSnowxxx on April 13th. It was our first time working with Ms. Snow, and I'm happy I got a couple of scenes with her for this feature. Skylar has a genuine affinity for bondage and playing the damsel role, and it shines through in her performance. She's also remarkably intelligent. Of course, I didn't know that before we met her, or I'd have made an attempt to show off her brilliance. I hope we'll have that opportunity the next time we work with her. I got two scenes with Ms. Snow for this story, but because of running time limitations, I could only put the first one in the DVD and FM Concepts edit. However the deleted scene will be released a little later, and it's included in the special "Director's Cut" of the feature, which will be available to the public a little ways down the road.

"Escape Class" is available for download now at FM Concepts http://fm1.surfnetcorp.com/acbuild/showprod_download.cfm?&DID=20&CATID=2&ObjectGroup_ID=2629 and it's coming very soon to https://www.clips4sale.com/studio/6571/american-damsels-by-jon-woods and https://www.americandamsels.net/ and later at http://www.americandamsels.com/ If you're interested in commissioning a custom video, please send me a direct message (DM) via twitter: https://twitter.com/AmericanDamsels

Not long ago I gave up my Facebook account. The main reason was because of their abuse of user data, but also because I never had time or inclination to use it very much. Because of their restrictions, it was never useful for promoting the business, and so it was never a priority. Nonetheless, the off-topic thought below was one I posted there a while back, if only because it was too long for twitter.

It strikes me as a little odd, or at least rather unimaginative, that when these companies make meat substitutes for vegetarians and vegans, they always try to make them resemble some established type of meat, and they either give it a slightly different spelling (like "chikken") or put quotes around it so you know it's not really "beef" or some other animal corpse.

I'm sure the people who create these meat substitutes are justifiably proud that they've managed to create a product with a similar taste and texture as the originals but without the cruelty.  But why not expand the flavor palate a little?  There are presumably ways to make these substitutes appealing, possibly by expanding to new tastes, without limiting themselves by trying to make them taste specifically like the current, given meats. They should be bold and develop new products and textures. After all, before 1948 no one had ever experienced Cheetos, and yet they certainly caught on.

The next suggestion would probably be a little confusing without some kind of standardization, but why do they still name the meat substitutes after something they decidedly are not?  Why not name the product after some fictitious or extinct creature.  For example, you could make brontosaurus burgers, or griffin wings, dragon steaks or jabberwocky legs.  Some adults might feel a little silly ordering tyrannosaurus fingers at a restaurant, but kids would probably dig it.  :)

As previously mentioned in this blog, when we shot the Freedom Woman saga, it was an atypical two-day shoot. The characters and story for those videos (different versions released by both Lorelei https://twitter.com/BedroomBondage and me) were created by Teo. But for my version, I wanted to add a sexy little epilogue to show a little of what happened after the original story. On the second day of the shoot we had some time remaining after completing the custom script, so I shot a finale for the treacherous blonde Agatha Delicious https://twitter.com/AgathaDelicious falling victim to the Coach's sudden but inevitable betrayal. I wanted to shoot a bondage scene with the amazing Ms. Delicious in her black lingerie and thigh-high boots that she'd worn earlier in the story. I believe the viewers would've felt it was a tragic missed opportunity if I didn't tie her up in that outfit. I made it into a "forced orgasm" scene since that's more fun for everybody -- especially Agatha -- and I also got to play to one of the vixen-turned-damsel's favorite fetishes in her last scene of the tale.

Then on November 24th Lorelei, Eric Holman and I had a "Three Amigos" shoot with our "Freedom Woman," Riley Reyes https://twitter.com/RileyReyXXX and that allowed me to provide a glimpse of the vanquished crime-buster's servitude under the evil Coach. For that scene, we added accessories from the original Freedom Woman costume to a maid uniform, and it looked adorable. Much of the defeated superheroine's new life of degradation is left to the viewer's imagination, but we can only surmise that Freedom Woman's duties for being in charge of entertainment for the Coach's party would be far beyond what we would normally show.

The second part of this feature is highlights from another installment of the 1950s-era sitcom parody "Always In Trouble."  In "The Missing Movie Star" episode, Sarah Brooke https://twitter.com/sarahsexyred10 portrays the movie star of the title. The busty starlet returned for a visit to the old hometown of Las Captivas, California and she was promptly nabbed by evil men. Once again, I was striving to show off Ms. Brooke's glamorous side, which we don't get to see too often for her fetish work. She certainly looked amazing in the iconic white movie star dress, and it made for a truly classic-looking scene. Sarah gave a wonderfully energetic performance, as always.

I should mention that the day we shot this, Sarah also did a wonderful "forced to strip" scene for Lorelei, which has been released here: https://clips4sale.com/16221/19351999 Despite the dramatic story, it's apparent Sarah is having a good time with it, and we hope you'll enjoy it as well.

On February 17th Lorelei and I had our first shoot with Luci Lovett https://twitter.com/LuciLovett1 Much as usual, my sweetie got the first hour for a stripping scene. In that one, Ms. Lovett played an inappropriately dressed secretary who faced confiscation of her offending wardrobe by the "Fashion Police." It was a fun premise, and the adorable brunette was fantastic in this skit, which you can enjoy here: https://clips4sale.com/16221/19208629

Next I continued the "Always In Trouble" episode with Luci as the detective assigned to locate the nabbed movie star. She goes undercover in the sleazy world of bondage modeling, and she looked absolutely fantastic in her retro-style lingerie. But our plucky heroine's cover is promptly blown and she's taken captive by the bad guys. It was only with tremendous self control that I did not work the line "Luci, you got some 'splainin' to do" into the script. For her second scene of this part of the story, Luci is tied down for a forced orgasm scene. As I usually do for these scenes, I asked what position would work best for her, and I told her that the scene would go as long as she wanted and to call "cut" when she finished. She then gave us one of the longest vibrator scenes I've ever shot. She was edging for a great deal of the time, and her climax was spectacular! The scene went on so long that because of time considerations for the feature, I could only use about half of it for the video. But have no fear, for the alternate versions I will present her bondage orgasm scene in its entirety, which runs over 18 minutes. Feel free to play along at home!

"Freedom Woman Defeated!" is now available for download at FM Concepts http://fm1.surfnetcorp.com/acbuild/showprod_download.cfm?&DID=20&CATID=2&ObjectGroup_ID=2621 and will be available shortly at https://www.clips4sale.com/studio/6571/american-damsels-by-jon-woods and https://www.americandamsels.net/ and a little later for members at http://www.americandamsels.com/

There's this terrible movie from 1967 with the poorly-spelled title "Hillbillys In A Haunted House." Other than a tasty little bondage scene with the bustacious Joi Lansing http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061765/mediaviewer/rm2277725440 (and it also features George Barrows in a gorilla suit for Lorelei https://twitter.com/BedroomBondage ) there's not much to recommend it, even for fans of horror icons like John Carradine, Basil Rathbone and Lon Chaney Jr. If you ever want to subject yourself to this awful film, I'd suggest you go with the Rifftrax version https://www.rifftrax.com/hillbillys-in-a-haunted-house The reason I mention all this is because I did like the title, and Ms. Lansing in bondage, and so I've done a few "... In A Haunted House" videos now, and while they're not pure homages to the original, they're fun and enjoyable. I think this new one is another worthy entry to the collection.

Last November, Eric Holman https://twitter.com/FMConceptsinc Lorelei and I had a "Three Amigos" shoot with the amazing Victoria June https://twitter.com/VictoriaJune69 She'd worked with FM Concepts earlier, but this was her first encounter with Lorelei and me. At that time, my sweetie had created a dungeon set and I wanted to do a tip of the hat to another cheesy drive-in type movie (that featured a fair amount of bondage as well), "The Bloody Pit of Horror" http://imovies.blogspot.com/search?q=bloody+pit+of+horror In her scene, Victoria portrays a starlet who's gone to the wrong location for a movie, and ends up as the captive of a mad scientist. Ms. June seemed amused that she was cast in the role of "Bimbo #2" for the movie-within-a-movie, and once she saw me in my scientist outfit, she said she felt like she was in a play. Well, I guess she was. The busty beauty was then tapegagged and tied up for what I believe may have been her first bondage orgasm. Well, multiple orgasms. And she gave an exceptional performance. I do hope we'll have the chance to get her in front of our cameras again sometime soon.

Gorgeous Chi Chi Medina was chosen to play the title character of this story. In the first segment she faints when she opens a closet door and finds herself face-to-face with a werewolf. The main reason for this opening action was to do something nice for a faithful fainting fan. But beyond that, it was fun to do a scene were the damsel loses consciousness in a manner that is not (yet) forbidden by the credit card companies. Also I'm fairly sure that the werewolf mask is the one with the worst visibility, and that greatly limits what a villain can do. Nonetheless, our brave detective was bound and cleavegagged in the study, and she managed to free herself with an ingenious device I'd found a while back and finally had an opportunity to use. By the way, many thanks to Eric Holman for running the camcorder for that scene, and the next one as well.

Once Chi Chi liberated herself, instead of fleeing, the plucky gumshoe went to rescue the other unfortunate women who'd been taken captive earlier. But once she found the dungeon, she was quickly caught by a gorilla in a lab coat. For that scene, Ms. Medina was dressed in some brightly colored and tattered clothes. Because Chi Chi has an absolutely perfect body, I felt she was the ideal candidate for an homage to those tawdry covers of the men's adventure magazines of days gone by https://www.google.com/search?q=Men%27s+adventure+magazines&newwindow=1&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjbx9-E8oDaAhUmrFQKHQtlA9cQ_AUICygC&biw=1536&bih=758

Our final scene was another nod to the horror movies of the past. Chi Chi (in a flimsy slip) was tapegagged and hogtied in the study, and when she got the hogtie connector rope undone, she tried hopping away. Unfortunately when she opened the door she was confronted by a giant, very hungry worm. I believe it was the unholy result of the mad scientist's experiments with worms and green nylon. But Detective Medina was still tied hand and foot, and was quickly overtaken by the monster. It's pretty rare that a damsel isn't rescued by the conclusion of my stories, but the ending of this one is a little bit ambiguous. I guess the viewer will have to decide our damsel's fate.

The last part of the video features the premier installment of "The Lost Bondage Scenes." The first episode is entitled "Babysitter Banned!" and it features the stunning Ryan Ryans as the star of a 1960s-era TV sitcom. The gorgeous blonde is detective gagged and tied to a post for an episode where she's unexpectedly overpowered while babysitting. The director is giving her some last-minute instruction when a network executive comes in to inform him the scene's been cut for being "too suggestive." The harried director quickly calls for an early lunch while he gets this situation straightened out, but he neglects to tell anyone to free the helpless star. Ms. Ryans was the perfect damsel for this. She has the movie star looks I wanted for it, and she did a fantastic job reacting to everything going on around her, and struggling and emoting after she was left all alone. Shooting this particular scenario was a bit of wish fulfillment for me, as I finally get to bring to life a scene I'd been thinking about for a long, long time. Ms. Ryans has been a favorite at http://fmconcepts for quite a while, and I can see why. Unfortunately, she lives outside the area and doesn't get here often enough. Nonetheless, I'm hoping we'll see her again before too long.

"Detective In A Haunted House" is available here http://fm1.surfnetcorp.com/acbuild/showprod_download.cfm?&DID=20&CATID=2&ObjectGroup_ID=2614 and it'll also be released momentarily here https://www.clips4sale.com/studio/6571/american-damsels-by-jon-woods and here https://www.americandamsels.net/ Enjoy!

For a long time now I've felt there were similarities or parallels between music and bondage. This thought first came to mind some time ago at a shoot when I was rigging something that was not specifically planned for ahead of time, and I described what I was doing as "playing jazz" -- that is, I know what the song is but I'm improvising and not completely sure where it's going to end up. In a case like this, for both music and bondage there are certain rules and structures that must be adhered to, but there's also a creative flow in play too.

But beyond that, I feel the bondage (and fetish) producers are similar to musicians. Everyone has their own style, their own way of creating their art, and their own audience. To become proficient, dedication and study are key, and sacrifice of some kind is usually necessary. But that becomes an acceptable part of the deal because of the passion to create and the love of doing it. Getting a lot of practice helps, too.

The two are also similar in that there is an almost limitless range of diversity for both, thank goodness. How boring the world would be if everyone created the same music, or if all musicians used the same instruments. The same is true for producing bondage. There's a wide difference in the materials used, the types of models utilized (and their individual vocalizations), and you might have noticed there's even a distinctive individuality in all the various bondage websites' designs. There's also a tremendous range of emotions for both. The mood for polka music is very different than for blues or punk rock, just as a tickling video has a very different vibe than one with heavy discipline. And no one should ever feel like their tastes are the only one that's valid, because there will always be somebody who's going to declare "your favorite band sucks."

Furthermore, there's a broad spectrum of production values for both of these. Some people go to great lengths and expense to create orchestral music, going all the way to the other end with musicians playing for spare change on street corners. But in both cases it's all still music. And for bondage, some may pay thousands of dollars to create a single feature, while others are shooting their videos in motel rooms with existing light on their phones. Music and bondage can be produced just for fun, doing it purely for the art, whilst others are definitely creating a product with the intent of profit, or at least sustaining a business. But in either case the results can be enjoyable.

I'm not going to equate certain styles of music with certain styles of bondage, e.g., which producer is doing opera? And what kind of music would equate to shibari?  I'll leave that to someone else who has more enthusiasm for such an endeavor. But I would hope that what I'm producing would be akin to "pop" or maybe "classic rock," that is, if either one of those had more to do with damsels in distress.

Every now and then a producer will proudly proclaim they've made the "Best Bondage Video Ever." I admire their confidence, but I don't think that's possible. Because of individual tastes, there could no more be a best bondage video than there's a universally regarded "favorite song" by everyone. Not everyone is going to like, say, country music, just as some people would not consider a bondage video "best" unless it had straitjackets or pantyhose or bare feet or whatever their own individual "must-have" might be.

While music has a large, very profitable industry behind it, the same is not true for the bondage business. Nonetheless the similarity here is that the products of both are widely pirated. However, piracy isn't going to shut down Universal Music Group or Sony BMG Music Entertainment, but it certainly has driven lots of the mom-and-pop bondage producers out of business... and will continue to still their unique voices until something changes.

And finally, while I've limited this analogy to professionally produced bondage, I realize that a lot of people like to create their own music at home, and that's great too. It's a fun hobby.

These days we (that is https://twitter.com/LoreleiMission and I) are shooting custom videos whenever possible. When it works well, it's got a lot of positives: it helps us with our limited model budget, we get the chance to work with some of our favorite people a bit more, or hire exciting new models, and frequently we have an opportunity to shoot something a little different. Usually the turnover for these projects is fairly quick. Once the funds clear and the model is scheduled, we get the shoot completed and try to get the edited project to the buyer as fast as possible.

"Freedom Woman Captured!" was different in that this process took a lot longer than usual. Like, months. But once we overcame all the assorted hurdles -- and I'll spare you the minutia of that -- it went really well. This video was produced by Teo, who (coincidentally enough) doesn't live too far from us. After Lorelei and I met with him, we felt he'd be a good choice to play the second henchman of his story. It also eases some cost and other logistical issues of getting a henchman.

Our titular heroine was played by the remarkable Riley Reyes https://twitter.com/RileyReyXXX This outstanding performer has worked with our business associates at http://fmconcepts.us a few times, but this was our first experience shooting with her. The villainess of the tale was played by the always amazing Agatha Delicious https://twitter.com/AgathaDelicious It was the first time these two stunning ladies had worked together. And even though Teo has commissioned a few videos in the past, this was his first time being on a video set. As it turns out, Teo is a natural. That is, he comported himself with the proper respect and professionalism we expect from people on our sets. These three also had a number of things in common, like various artistic abilities and some other overlapping geeky interests. Because of these, the trio had genuine chemistry. It made for a fun working environment.

A little side note about the artistic tendencies: whenever possible, we like to take the talent out to eat after we finish for the day. One of Lorelei's favorite traditions is to have everyone doodle on the paper placemats when available. For that meal, the placemat drawings from our producer and models were definitely the most impressive we'd seen.

This particular video was also unusual since we shot it over two consecutive days. Having Teo present was very helpful in that we could get his immediate input for how the story was shot. He told us he also gained a new appreciation for the work we put into our videos. For example, the fight scene took quite a while to shoot, as well as a couple of painful extra takes, even though it only lasts a few seconds in the final edit. Teo is a genuine superheroine enthusiast, and I believe that shines through in the scenes he had us create for him.

For Ms. Reyes, her new experience for this story was being bound and gagged in a car trunk. She did have fun with it too, so she tells us. Agatha got to show off her acting abilities (in the villainess role) for this story more than our previous time working with her. We were definitely impressed with both of them.

Right now this story is available at FM Concepts http://fmconcepts.us/product.cfm?ObjectGroup_ID=2603&group=bondage and it'll be released very shortly at https://www.clips4sale.com/studio/6571/american-damsels-by-jon-woods and https://www.americandamsels.net/ and a bit later at http://www.americandamsels.com/

As a reminder, Riley, Agatha and most of the models we currently work with are available for custom projects. If you're in the market to have your bondage fantasy brought to life, just send me a DM https://twitter.com/AmericanDamsels

Whenever a model gets to that point in her career when she decides to be more selective about whom she'll work with, I'm still flattered when Lorelei https://twitter.com/LoreleiMission and I (and our associates at FM Concepts https://twitter.com/FMConceptsinc ) make that model's short list. I would hope it's because our shoots are fun, we always treat the models with respect, and we put their safety and well-being above all else. One of the models who have chosen us to be on their preferred list is Alexis Taylor https://twitter.com/oddlydisturbing We've been working together since the start of her fetish career, and while she's mainly pursuing other interests these days, I'm always happy to get her in front of our cameras when I can.

Because of budgetary limitations, quite a few of our shoots these days are custom videos. What's interesting about the "bespoke" (to use the current, trendy term) projects is we get to do different things. In this case, we got to produce a bondage-with-groping video. This was unusual for us, to say the least. It reminded me of a similar video I did with Loren Chance a few years ago for Richard Reynolds https://twitter.com/Reynoldsbon I remember telling him as we were getting started that this sort of thing was outside of our established relationship. Sure, it was fun, but still kind of weird. I suppose it would've only been stranger to do a video like that with a model I'd just met, unless of course she performs in the regular adult business... and I was dressed in a lizard-man costume. (Looking at you https://twitter.com/mistystonexxx ) And in case you were wondering, yes, that did happen: https://clips4sale.com/40765/18469821

So a buyer named MP commissioned this story, and I asked Alexis if she was interested in doing the script. It's not the kind of thing Alexis does these days, nor had really done with any producer other than Jay Edwards, as far as I know. But she was game to help me with this video, and it was a fun afternoon. I believe at one point Lorelei felt I was being a little too rough with our star, but I don't think Alexis necessarily agreed with that assessment. I guess I'll have to leave it for the viewer to decide. In the story, Alexis looks amazing in her thong bikini, tied (all tying is shown on-screen) in a classic position with a crotchrope and toe-tie later, and she's detective gagged witha bandana "bandit gag" added at the end. Oh yeah, and there's groping and fondling and a little mild spanking thrown in there too.

A couple of weeks later I got to bring Alexis back for a little epilogue to the story. She was wearing a minidress and high heels for the scene, tied sitting on a stool and gagged with microfoam tape. Again, more classic bondage for a classic beauty. I'd like to take a moment here to mention that Alexis, and most of our local models, are available for custom work. Just send me a message on twitter https://twitter.com/AmericanDamsels or FetLife https://fetlife.com/users/18558 if you're interested.

A little over a year ago at a party hosted by https://twitter.com/hyponlinemedia I met https://twitter.com/SplendorFetish (He's a really nice guy, although I don't what his stage name is -- sorry! Tell me and I'll amend this entry) A short time after that he sent me a DM and said he'd just had a shoot with Christiana Cinn https://twitter.com/ChristianaCinn and she was looking for more bondage work. I'd seen her previously on http://fmconcepts.us and https://twitter.com/Hollyrope and I was always floored by Ms. Cinn. I think she's just stunning. And apparently the folks at Penthouse feel the same way, and they chose her to be a Pet. Because of this and also because she'd started performing in the higher-paying world of mainstream adult entertainment, I must admit I felt a little intimidated, and I didn't reach out to schedule her.

But then Eric Holman scheduled Christiana for a "Three Amigos" shoot for the day after Christmas. It was like Christmas arrived a day late for me. For my hour with her, I decided to do another steampunk-inspired scene.  My main reason for this is I feel Ms. C. also has a real movie-star beauty, and I wanted to showcase it with a classic-themed damsel story.

I really enjoy the steampunk-style stories, and the models seem to like playing dress-up for those as well. But these offerings are never a big financial success for me, which I find somewhat puzzling. With all due respect to Andromeda and Perseus, the whole "damsel in distress" genre (as we know it today) started in the Victorian Era, with steam trains and buzz saws and all that silent movie peril kind of thing. I feel there's something inherently old-fashioned about D-I-D situations.  But I realize I may be in the minority with that feeling. I don't know if I'm ahead of the curve or if it'll never catch on. Nonetheless, I wanted to give it one more try. So I wrote up a quick little scene for Christiana to be an intrepid private detective, investigating an incident from an earlier chapter of the ongoing steampunk tale. As often happens in these stories, Detective Cinn was caught snooping by the notorious villain "Bike." The next thing you know, our brave heroine is bound and gagged, with a device he stole from his twin brother (Professor Claw) secured between her thighs.

I'd like to note my appreciation for Christiana doing the vibrator scene for us. I gave her the option to skip it, but she's a real trouper and made the video much more interesting and fun by putting in the extra effort -- and giving a fantastic performance. Lorelei got the final hour of the day with our gorgeous damsel, and she did a wonderful multi-position bondage scene with Christiana, which you can enjoy here: https://clips4sale.com/412/18970075

I recently heard from Christiana again, and she's looking forward to her next time shooting with Lorelei and me. We are too!

To be honest, I wrote this a year ago. But it didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. It sounded much better in my head, and it was a considerably longer list in there. I suppose by delaying this a year I can give the impression that I'm a year younger than I really am. Oh wait, I guess I shouldn't have said that. It seems I'm not very good at this vanity thing.

"I am approaching the threshold of age..." - Mark Twain

Now that I've started my sixth decade on the planet, it's with some melancholy I realize that I'm going to have to face certain incontrovertible facts.

I will not be getting younger.

I will not be a teenage idol.

I will not be the president.

I will not win the WWE Championship belt.

I will not be a millionaire.

I will not be a superhero.

I will not own a house, or a dirigible.

I will not win an Oscar.

I will not be living to age 500.

I will not write the great American novel... or will I?

I will not be going into outer space.

I will not be a XXX star (although the year is still young).

I will not have my own TV show.

I will not win a Nobel Prize.

It's with some sadness that I've come to recognize I do not feel as intensely or deeply about many things, like music, as I did when I was younger. But I take heart that I've traded some of that passion for the wisdom that can only be achieved with age, as well as a desire for balance that I lacked in earlier days.

“In the end only three things matter: How much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.” – Buddha

Addendum: Even though I must come to terms with the fact I will never attain some of the goals or dreams I held when I was younger, on the other hand I have managed to do some rather amazing things that I never could have imagined I'd accomplish.
